Can only speak for myself. When I was awakening and had already been lurking on this site, I understood that the conflict I felt for a long time had a name to it. And I actually felt the struggle of what I had been taught and what I had believed. Overwhelming.

Teenage son's last WT comment. Major sphincter puckering on my part.
by Open mind ini thought maybe some of us might enjoy something light-hearted to start the week off.
at dinner last night my teenage son reminded me of the last kh meeting he attended with me about a year ago.
he is a big fan of christopher hitchins and self-identifies as an atheist.

I was HAPPY as a JW, how did I get here?
by MC RubberMallet insome have figured out, but i am a poster that previously used another name.
but even then i did not give many details about myself.
i barely cracked 100 posts.. but i have never done a thread to explain why i am here.

MC Rubber Mallet- Yes, I know several that have had happy experiences, who also gave up their dreams of education, scholarships, and appear happy and content in every way. Generations in and serving. The problem is they are unaware that their whole entire life is based on LIES.
At least you know TTATT. And it's always good to hear the positive aspects because otherwise people may not understand why people don't "Awaken" or why they are content using their life in what they consider a higher calling.
I also understand why you cannot reveal too much about yourself, at this time. And glad you took the time to share your experience. And of course, would love to know the turning point for you.
Thanks.
